The Feral Druid is a nasty PvP Tree that deals a ton of Damage. The Feral druid has even been improved in Cataclysm 4.0.3 and is my favorite Druid PvP spec talent tree to use.
This PvP Build Guide will show you which talents and Glyphs to use from 1 -85.
For the best leveling path to go alongside with this PVP build I would suggest Zygor’s Leveling Guide.
Feral PvP Skill Rotation
This is a basic skill rotation that most can use.
Pounce –> Mangle –> Shred –> (Tiger’s fury) –> Shred –> Rip/Fero. Bite/Maim.
After that rotation switch to Bear form. While in Bear, Lacerate x5, Bash, Heal, and then Cyclone your target. After that run and re-stealth and start your rotation over.
Leveling from 80-85
From 8-=85 is really up to you. WE suggest Thick Hide for the crit reduction, and Natural Reaction so Bear form is a bit tougher given the HP normalization. This gives you a little bit more survivability. If you want more damage pick up some resto talents.

Do You Want To Level Faster Like The Pros?
If you are having trouble leveling or need to level faster in WoW Cataclysm I highly suggest you check out Zygor’s Leveling Guide. It has the perfect leveling path that gets you to 85 faster and easier than any other way. No matter what level you are, you load the guide and it points with an arrow to the direction of each monster, quest giver, trainer etc. Its pretty crazy. It also has an in game box that tells you exactly what to do, like kill 5 boars, run west 10 miles, etc. If you dont have this in game add on guide, honestly, you are missing out. You can find out more here or check out the Zygor Cataclysm Leveling Guide Review.

Damn nice guide thanks!
Absolutely amazing spec, amazing rotation, great detail, did so much better in Battle Grounds afterwards, great guide, thanks for this!
This is not how you feral pvp AT ALL.
The correct opener would be:
-Feral Charge Cat
-Pounce
-Ravage (with no energy cost from Stampede and increased critical chance from Predatory Strikes you can take 1/4 of your targets HP right here)
-Mangle
-Tigers Fury
-Rake
-Rip
-After this Shred away if you can
You could save the feral charge (and subsequent Ravage) against Mages or Hunters for when they Blink/Disengage but its best used early in a fight (see Predatory Strikes).
Secondly you dont change to Bear unless you really have to. Changing to Bear will take a huge chunk of the Bleed damage you do, modified from the mastery you get in Cat form.
As for talents the 5 points you put in Thick Hide and Natural Reaction would be better used elsewhere, like trying to get Master Shapeshifter or Blood in Water.
I miss rip in the rotation. and you dont say anything about timing berserk and tigers fury. also the major glyphs suck.
the talent build could work, but I rather spent some points more in resto, which gives you 4% more crit. but if you’re crit capped, go his spec instead.
althouch its a nice tip to not go bear because of the mastry, you should go bear and use feral charge, stun, etc. but after that go cat again. bear can do massive damage as wel. some rotation between could be: bear form > enrage > feral charge > maul + mangle = 25k burst > stun > go cat > get rake and rip up > shred + ferocious bite spam
be sure to use skullbash vs healers and try cyclone, hibernate, entangle ur enemies while fighting.
p.s. feral druids are NOT op, locks and mages ARE op
*I miss rip in the rotation*
this should be RAKE not rip
This is the rotation i use;
prowl then feral charge, ravage, mangle, tigers fury, rake and shred until 5 combo points, rip, bear form stun, maul, swipe. After this they should be dead, if not, go into cat form and spam shred until dead.
No one is mentioning berserk
Use whenever you can in pvp; remember TF will not be available while berserk is in use.
GUYS IM GETTING AN ACCOUNT OFF EBAY POST SOME TIPS PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
This is a good guide, allthough I have some things I’d like to put my point of view on.
First of all, Glyphs:
Glyph of Mangle -> Glyph of Shred
Expl:
You use mangle ONCE a minute for buffing your bleeds.
The shred glyph helps you extending your rip duration to a point that you are able to use your combopoints on other finishing moves and having more time to reapply the rip as it’s about to end.
Glyph of Rebirth -> Glyph of Feral Charge
Expl:
Rebirth is not useable in arena since it has a 10min cooldown (might be usable for bg’s)
Begin able to use feral charge more often is a plus against all ranged classes, and I like it especilly aginst hunters for when they disengage, go bear -> feral charge, and they are having a harder time getting rid of you. Also good against mages if you start on them with pounce, as they probably will blink, (and again) bear -> feral charge, change back to cat or anything else you want to do (bash?). And if you are specced in Stampede you get the free ravage 2 sec more often (maby not THAT awesome, but better than rebirth glyph as it’s not useful in arena and at most once every 10min in bg’s)
Glyph of Entangling Roots -> Glyph of Faerie Fire
Expl:
Glyph of entangling roots no longer makes ER instant, it just reduces the cast time by 0.2 sec, so it’s not really longer useful for feral.
A longer Faerie Fire can be useful especialy against rogues if they cloak the first one you applied and run away for a re-stealth (not vanish) and instead of 30y you have a 40y range to apply it on (to keep them in combat and unabable to use vanish). (Taunt(growl) is also a abillity usable to keep rogues in combat even as they are cloaked.) The longer Faerie Fire is also good for earlier breaking healers drinking in arena and so on.
Speaking of Faerie Fire i now go to the rotation:
On Ranged:
Pounce/Ravage – Faerie Fire – Mangle – Rake – Shred (by this far you hopefully have 5cp*, but if not) – Shred again.
On Melee:
Feral Charge(cat, asuming that you have specced stampede), Pounce – Faerie Fire – Mangle – Rake – (pop Tigers Fury for 15% more dmg) Ravage(from Stampede) – Shred(if you need more cp)
If you are lucky and crit on both Mangle and Rake (5cp)* you might wanna pop TF and use Ferocius Bite/Rip and directly after the ravage from stampede. This is a nice burst.
I like to spend my cp on Rip, as it does greate dmg and more over thae total than Ferocius Bite(FB), but if you have them on low hp, you might consider FB or Maim, depending on the situation.
Use Shred to stack up your cp and always make sure to keep up your mangle debuff and Rake on your target.
During the rotation you might need to use Feral Charge(bear or cat) or any other thing you might thinking as a necessary action, but just start again form where you ended or start from ‘Rake’ if it’s down.
_______________________________________
*Primal Fury, Talent (2/2) – and your critical strikes from Cat Form abilities that add combo points have a 100% chance to add an additional combo point.
Charge, Pounce, Tiger’s Fury, Berserk, (The 15% more damage from Tiger’s Fury stays if you use that first) Rake, Mangle Ravage, (If you get lucky with combo points, rip then mangle) Then shred spam If you can, if not just Mangle.
im a restro sham. i see charge, pounce, berserk (50% less energy use = applying more pts on ur target to get to a maim just be4 pounce stun wears off), ravage, mangle, rake, shred (should have 5 pts by then), Maim (consumes ur 5 pts and puts them in a 6 second stun again), shred until mangle slow move effect drops till u get 5 pts, rip.
or if you are teamed with a ret replace ur maim with a rip as long as you tell your ret partner to drop HoJ on ur target in replacement of your maim. Why? With 4.2 coming out soon your Rip will do 20% initial base damage off your rip bleed effect; meaning, if your rip causes 80K damage over the duration you’re looking at opening with a 16K hit using your rip. Plus, rip does bleed dmg over time thus for w/e reason that target doesn’t die soon after your pounce because he/she was put into a HoJ well your Rip is still ticking for massive damage. You may also get peeled off still applying the pressure because your Rip is on the target. In addition, the way you’re speced having Rip and Rake on target increase your shred damage and Mangle on target (mangle increasing your bleep damage) just increases it even more. With theRet wings up and u on the target as well you will see target drop soon after your pounce goes off even if you were peeled off because your ret has popped all his CDs
Or if with an arms warrior have him use throwdown stunning your kill target and if he popped his cds during the duration of your pounce then your target may in fact die within your pounce duration
It’s cleave comp like these which has made want to level my druid up that’s been sitting at level 70 for ages. lol
I have a disc priest and a restro shaman and specially made macros to survive this crap and rely a lot on my team mates to peel off ASAP. Otherwise, I’ll die, because they can hit so fast before I’m able to move my finger to my keybind that trinkets me out of w/e stun I’m in I’m dead. With feral’s getting buffed I bet you’ll see a few kitty cleave comps in the 2800 to 3000 arena rating range within the 1st week of a new season.
If you do run a kitty cleave find yourself an OP rsham to heal you. I guess I just think of them as a better healer more so then any other heals atm. Grounding totem will help with your initial burst consuming any peeling effects targeted toward you or your partner. There heals are HUGE when you are low (mastery states that our direct target healing abilities such as LHW, HW, and Riptide heal for more based on your target HP and the lesser the HP the bigger the heal is). A geared resto sham can heal you for 75K off one healing wave if you are under 25% hp which will save your ass. Earth Shield, and Riptide. Other totems to help increase your melee haste and strength and agil. As a resto shaman I know I can cleanse about 90% of slow moving effects. If you get ice nova out of stealth your healer needs to dispel that off so you can get that initial burst off onto the opposing team asap and not just for initial burst but throughout the fight. I run a RLS comp and I have my rogue say “slowed” when I need to cleanse and “ok” to confirm he’s out of being slowed so I know to stop spamming cleanse. You probably say I should know when to cleanse that and not to cleanse that but at times I can be so focus on healing my lock or myself I forget to cleanse my rogue. Cleansing him is key since he does all the peeling for both the lock and I.
